Lake Alma Beach

Lake Alma State Park boasts 292 acres consisting of a quiet lake and wooded areas. The 60-acre lake offers visitors boating, fishing, a playground, and beach area. There are also areas for camping as well as hiking trails and a paved bike path.

I had virtually scouted this location and hoped it would pan out to be an ideal spot to image the Milky Way. On of my favorite foregrounds if to photograph the night sky over water. Lake Alma turned out to be an ideal location to accomplish this! There are beautiful foreground opportunities to be able to highlight the land with the Milky Way overhead.

I plan to go back to this beautiful location again!
